DESIGN CHALLENGE
The primary challenge was translating culturally rooted symbolism into a modern visual language without relying on clichés. The identity needed to feel distinctive, approachable, and flexible across illustration, packaging, and surface applications.

DESIGN APPROACH
Illustration and pattern were developed as core brand elements. Bold shapes, layered symbolism, and controlled detail were used to create visual depth while maintaining clarity at multiple scales. The system was designed to function consistently across signage, packaging, and promotional materials.

OUTCOME
The resulting identity captures the dual nature of the kitsune through a versatile illustration and pattern system. The visuals work both as stand-alone brand elements and as repeatable surface designs, supporting a cohesive and adaptable brand presence.
